The Salaw Group’s professional principles

The conduct of all the people associated with the Group – consultants vis-a-vis clients, interested parties, staff, competitors, suppliers, associations and the public in particular – is determined by our professional principles. The Salaw Group’s German companies are members of the BDU e.V. (Bund deutscher Unternehmensberater; association of German business consultants) and are bound by its rules and principles. The objective is to retain the company’s positive image and to make it evident throughout that the Salaw Group always is in full compliance.

We will only accept assignments for which we have the right skills, experiences and staff.

We will look for state-of-the-art solutions that are in line with the industry’s development and client’s needs.
We do everything continually to improve our know-how, skills and processes and will let our clients benefit from this improvement without restrictions.

Integrity and effectiveness

Integrity and effectiveness

We will only recommend our services, if we expect our work to benefit the client.

We will submit realistic scopes of services, schedules and cost estimates and try to stay within these limits. We do not only provide expert opinions and advice or draw up recommendations but also help to implement our suggestions and work with the client for as long as it takes to let him do it on its own. We know that the technical solution aside human relationships are very important and will try to work with the client and its staff in harmony.

Objectivity and neutrality

We will only recommend our services, if we expect that our work will benefit the client. We will give unbiased and objective advice and openly discuss unpleasant stuff.

We will never come up with accommodation reports and resist any subjective influence upon our work by third parties. We are committed to neutrality vis-a-vis the suppliers of the devices, aids and services needed for implementing our suggestions and do not ask them for or accept commissions, expense allowances etc. If we recommend suppliers, this is only based upon our clients’ needs and a comparative analysis of the suppliers’ tenders. 

Confidentiality

Confidentiality

We treat all our clients’ internal processes and information we get to know of in the course of our work as strictly confidential.

In particular, we will never pass on to third parties any job-related documents.

We will not automatically agree to a no-competition clause. A no-competition clause is subject to a separate agreement entered into in special cases.

We think we are entitled to publish lists of clients, but will only give them as references with their express consent.

No poaching

We will never poach clients’ staff, neither directly nor indirectly, neither for us nor for other clients.

We expect our clients never to try to poach our own staff as well.

We expect our staff never to try to join the client’s company during an ongoing business relationship. The objectivity in our work must be preserved.

We will never actively poach other consultancies’ staff.

Appropriate pricing

We will charge fees that are reasonable in terms of our work and have been agreed with the client prior to its commencement.

We will only submit fixed-price tenders for projects whose scope is clear or for which after chargeable pre-studies both the scope and difficulty of the problems to be solved are evident and measurable for both parties. We will make specifications in our tenders so that clients will know what other costs are going to be invoiced on top of the fee.

Respectable advertising

Respectable advertising

We are committed to respectable advertising and acquisitions and will only present our qualification with regard to our skills and experience.

We will never disseminate reference letters, not even excerpts. Our presentation of sales, number of staff, fields of work etc. will be up-to-date and we will not announce any spectacular plans for the future.
